Commissioned for MDLBeast’s Soundstorm festival, Synesthesia is an interactive installation that explores the profound harmony between sound and color.
This immersive piece translates auditory elements into visual experiences, where specific sounds trigger corresponding light and color shifts, allowing audiences to engage with music in an entirely new dimension. Through a series of interactive interfaces, visitors actively manipulate the installation, experiencing a fusion of sensory perception that blurs the boundaries between hearing and seeing.
Synesthesia was developed in collaboration with the TRAART collective. Within this project, my role encompassed concept development, technical planning, and on-site fabrication, ensuring the installation perfectly balanced creative vision with precise physical execution.
Ultimately, this installation redefines the connection between light and sound, inviting the audience to step into a spatial environment where music materializes as color, and perception becomes an interactive physical experience.
